KRISTIN​

Teacher Kristin is a passionate educator who prioritizes play and nature-based learning, allowing children to explore their interests freely in a loving environment that values creativity and authenticity. With a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and ongoing studies at Antioch University, in the Reggio Emilia approach, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. Her diverse background includes teaching kindergarten, leading preschool classes, and facilitating creative art programs, alongside running her own daycare and kid's yoga program. Now based in Wilmington, NC, with her two children, Kristin continues to inspire both children and adults to live healthily while enjoying hobbies like reading, hiking, yoga, traveling, and having deep conversations about all the mysteries of life.

While the students attend school part time from 9am to 1pm, Parents’ Community Preschool makes sure to invest and support our sweet teachers as much as possible through daily paid planning, paid teacher work days, professional development, potential bonuses, and paid holidays. We understand and treasure teachers and thoughtful planning as an essential part of our children’s happiness, safety, and learning at PCP.

ELEANOR

Teacher Eleanor has experience with not only early childhood education but also a degree focused in special education; her avocation being cognitive-based as well as student-focused learning. She has taught in the pre-K/Kinder class at Friends School of Wilmington, and was part of the inaugural staff of the DCVPA lab school for UNC Wilmington, where she advocated for inclusive education for all students. She is  an actor, a baker, and a crossword enthusiast! They are an alumni family of PCP, for which she is both pedagogically and emotionally grateful.
